Biography
Dr. Mohammad Alsmadi is an assistant professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Âé¶¹ÃÛÌÒAV. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Alabama in 2025. He also holds an M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2020 and an M.Sc. in Renewable Energy Engineering from The University of Jordan in 2017. He received his B.Sc. in Electrical Power and Machines Engineering from Yarmouk University in Jordan in 2014.
Alsmadi’s research interests include power electronic systems, battery management systems, electric vehicles and solar photovoltaic systems. He serves as a reviewer for various IEEE journals and conferences.
In 2023, Alsmadi was the regional winner (Alabama/Florida region) and a national finalist in the U.S. Department of Energy’s EnergyTech University Prize competition. In 2020, he was awarded the Graduate Council Fellowship by The University of Alabama.
